Made from recycled mulberry sari silk โ the finest silk in the world, upcycled from traditional Indian sari fabric. Natural warm ivory-cream color. The frayed edges are a deliberate feature creating soft organic texture and blending potential.
๐จ Dyeing Techniques
๐ฟ 1. Natural / Botanical Dyeing
- Mordant silk in alum (15% WOF) for 45 minutes
- Simmer plant material 1 hour; strain
- Add mordanted silk; simmer 45โ60 minutes
- Cool slowly in dye bath; rinse and dry in shade

๐ฑ 2. Eco-Printing
Bundle leaves with damp silk, roll around a dowel, steam 60โ90 minutes. Best plants: eucalyptus, rose, Japanese maple, fern, onion skins.
๐ 3. Acid Dyeing
Dissolve acid dye in hot water, add silk and white vinegar, simmer at 82ยฐC for 30โ45 minutes. Full spectrum, excellent lightfastness.
๐ 4. Shibori & Resist Dyeing
Fold, bind, or clamp the ribbon before dyeing for extraordinary resist patterns.
๐ 5. Ombre & Gradient Dyeing
Dip-dye in progressively deeper baths for beautiful gradients.
