KnitSilk operates two wholesale programs — one for Indian buyers 🇮🇳 and one for Global (international) buyers 🌍. Shared terms applicable to all buyers are listed at the bottom.

🇮🇳 India Wholesale Terms

✅ 1. Eligibility — India

India wholesale accounts are open to:

  • Yarn & craft retailers
  • Fabric and textile distributors
  • Resellers and wholesalers
  • Spa, wellness & hospitality brands
  • Online marketplaces and resellers
  • Fibre arts studios and dye houses
  • Artisans, Makers, Hobbyists & Crafters

Indian applicants must provide a valid GST number or business registration number, except for independent artisans, makers, hobbyists, and crafters.

🛒 2. Minimum Order Requirements — India

  • Minimum Opening Order: ₹5,000 INR
  • Minimum Reorder: Minimum 60% of the initial opening order value, subject to prior approval by the KnitSilk team.
  • Orders below the minimum may be accepted at standard pricing at KnitSilk’s discretion.

💰 3. Pricing — India

  • All prices are quoted in INR.
  • Wholesale pricing is volume-based — the greater the quantity, the more competitive the unit price.
  • Prices are subject to change with 30 days’ written notice.
  • Quoted prices exclude shipping and applicable GST.
  • Wholesale pricing must not be publicly disclosed.

✒️ 4. Order Submission & Approval — India

  • First 3 orders are subject to manual review and approval by the KnitSilk team.
  • After 3 approved orders, your account is upgraded to auto-order status — future orders are processed automatically.
  • At checkout, click “Submit for approval” — our team will review within 1–2 business days.
  • Upon agreement, KnitSilk will issue a proforma invoice for payment.
  • Orders are not confirmed until payment is received in full.

💳 5. Payment Terms — India

  • All orders require prepayment in full before dispatch.
  • Accepted payment methods:
    • Credit / Debit Card
    • UPI
    • Net Banking
    • Bank Transfer (NEFT / RTGS)
    • Payment Links
    • Cash on Delivery (COD) — select pin codes only
  • Orders are confirmed only upon receipt of full payment.
  • Unconfirmed orders where payment is not received within 5 business days of invoice date may be cancelled.

🧳 6. GST & Invoicing — India

  • GST is applicable on all Indian wholesale orders as per prevailing tax rates.
  • A GST-compliant tax invoice will be issued with every order.
  • Please ensure your GSTIN is updated in your account profile for B2B invoicing.

🚚 7. Shipping & Fulfillment — India

  • Orders are processed and dispatched within 7–10 business days of payment confirmation.
  • Shipped via DTDC, Blue Dart, Shiprocket, or Delhivery; rates calculated based on order weight and destination.
  • Bulk orders (10+ kg): Sea freight options available on request.

🌍 Global Wholesale Terms (International)

✅ 1. Eligibility — Global

Global wholesale accounts are open to international buyers including:

  • Yarn & craft retailers
  • Fabric and textile distributors
  • Resellers and wholesalers
  • Spa, wellness & hospitality brands
  • Online marketplaces and resellers
  • Fibre arts studios and dye houses
  • Artisans, Makers, Hobbyists & Crafters

International applicants must provide a valid tax ID / VAT number or equivalent business registration, except for independent artisans, makers, hobbyists, and crafters.

🛒 2. Minimum Order Requirements — Global

  • Minimum Opening Order: ₹19,000 INR (approx. USD $225 / EUR €210)
  • Minimum Reorder: Minimum 60% of the initial opening order value, subject to prior approval by the KnitSilk team.
  • Orders below the minimum may be accepted at standard pricing at KnitSilk’s discretion.

💰 3. Pricing — Global

  • All prices are quoted in USD / EUR for international buyers.
  • Wholesale pricing is volume-based — the greater the quantity, the more competitive the unit price.
  • Prices are subject to change with 30 days’ written notice.
  • Quoted prices exclude shipping, duties, and applicable taxes.
  • Wholesale pricing must not be publicly disclosed.

    • Letter of Credit (LC) — available for established wholesale buyers only
  • UPI and COD are not available for international orders.
  • Orders are confirmed only upon receipt of full payment.
  • Unconfirmed orders where payment is not received within 5 business days of invoice date may be cancelled.

🚚 6. Shipping & Fulfillment — Global

  • Orders are processed and dispatched within 15–20 business days of payment confirmation.
  • Shipped via DHL / FedEx / India Post EMS; delivery timelines vary by destination country.
  • Duties, customs fees, and import taxes are the sole responsibility of the buyer.
  • KnitSilk is not liable for delays caused by customs clearance or carrier operations.
  • Bulk orders (10+ kg): Sea freight options available on request.

📜 Shared Terms — All Buyers

🔄 Returns & Defects

  • KnitSilk does not accept returns on wholesale orders unless goods are defective or shipped in error.
  • Defect claims must be raised within 7 days of delivery with photographic evidence.
  • Approved claims will be resolved via replacement or store credit (no cash refunds on wholesale).
  • Colour variations inherent to hand-dyed and recycled silk products are not considered defects.

🏪 Resale & Brand Guidelines

  • Wholesale buyers may resell KnitSilk products through their own retail channels.
  • Buyers must not misrepresent the product origin, fibre content, or certifications.
  • KnitSilk product images may be used for resale listings with attribution (Supplied by KnitSilk).
  • Wholesale buyers may not list KnitSilk products on third-party marketplaces (e.g., Amazon, Etsy) without prior written approval.

🌏 Exclusivity

  • KnitSilk does not offer exclusive territorial rights unless agreed in a separate written agreement.
  • Exclusive distribution agreements require a minimum annual commitment of ₹5,00,000 INR (or USD $6,000 equivalent).

📚 Intellectual Property

  • All product names, descriptions, photography, and branding remain the intellectual property of KnitSilk.
  • Buyers may not alter, rebrand, or relabel KnitSilk products without written consent.

⚖️ Governing Law

  • These terms are governed by the laws of India.
  • Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bangalore, Karnataka, India.
  • International buyers agree to resolve disputes via mutual negotiation before pursuing legal remedies.

🤝 Agreement

By placing a wholesale order with KnitSilk, the buyer acknowledges they have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.
